I'm RoseLynn Katz and became very good friends with Susan when I lived in New York. (I live in Asheville, N.C. now.) About 2 years ago when I was visiting New York, Susan rather shyly told me that there was someone new in her life - it was a romance! I was overjoyed for her! Last May my husband Gene and I were in New York for a dance shortly after Susan and Ed had been married. They made a beautiful couple. We also visited them last autumn which gave Gene and me the chance to know Ed better. He was a wonderful guy - quiet, a good host and listener, very intelligent with a genuine fascination and great knowledge of American history. He and Susan were very happy together. We're deeply saddened that he's gone.
