Diana White, Ed's long-time secretary and very good friend, describes the gathering of friends and colleagues, organized by her and another of Ed's friends, Ken Kreeble, held at the Black Angus restaurant in San Bernardino, California, on Thursday, July 16th, at 5:00 P.M. "Last night was truly a celebration of Ed's life. The stories, the quips, the memories were flowing. We laughed and shared, and I know he was there in spirit enjoying every minute of it. There were stories from him taking a 357 magnum handgun into trial in Pomona Court to make a point, to him carrying around a Playboy Magazine during trial in Victorville and then opening it up to the centerfold in front of the jury and using one of the quotes on the back of that centerfold to get a point across and watching plaintiff's counsel stutter and sweat wondering what the "Saint" was going to do next. These were things only Ed could get away with. These were such funny great stories. There were so many different people there, from adversaries, to friends and colleagues, and jurists --it didn't matter-- they all had the same things to say. Words like brilliant, funny, unique, honorable, considerate, original, amazing, one-of-a-kind, and friend were tossed around over and over again. We all love him very much and he will be missed."
